I've been meaning to start a blog for sometime. Now that I have, I think I'll start with something about me.
I hail from Palakkad, a district in God's own beautiful land called Kerala, a southern state of the large and diverse Indian subcontinent. I am a 3rd year Comp.Sc & Engineering student pursuing my degree at Govt. Engineering College, Palakkad.
I love old Malayalam songs, some evergreen Tamil hits and a few Hindi songs as well. This wasn't always the case. The shift to melodies came so abruptly that even I was shocked. One day my play list consisted of Eminem, Greenday and David Guetta, the next day I was listening to old Malayalam songs.
I love reading though I haven't read a single novel for the past two years. My favorite authors are Paulo Coelho, Jeffrey Archer and Robin Cook. My favourite novel would be Honour Among Thieves by Jeffrey Archer.
I like programming. Something about making machines do what I want it to do really appeals to me. I'm also a free software enthusiast and a fan of GNU/Linux. I really like the fact that even though most GNU/Linux operating systems have a lot of problems, most of them can be fixed by adding/editing one or two files. Also the support of the community is amazing. I love solving problems with Unix tools and playing around in the command line.
